How to Order a Sample Doll Before Your Wholesale Order

Why order a sample first

A sample answers questions that photos cannot: how the skin feels, how well the paint and hair are finished, how the joints move, and how the doll arrives after an international journey. It also gives you your own photos and a unit to show your customers or your team.

A sample costs one doll and one shipment. That is small next to the cost of a wholesale order that does not match what your customers expect.

Choose the right sample

Order the exact specification you plan to sell, not just a similar model. If you plan to sell a model in both materials, order one of each. If you plan a custom or private-label version, say so in your request. Include:

• Model: the model name or the link from our site.
• Material: premium platinum-cured silicone or high-grade, soft-touch TPE.
• Options: face, height, hair, eye and nail colors, and any smart features such as heating or voice control.
• Destination: the country and delivery address, and whether you want FOB, CIF or door-to-door shipping.
• Plans: the quantity you expect for the wholesale order, and whether you plan custom packaging.

How to place the sample order

Use the Request a Sample button or our inquiry form, and tell us the model and options you want. We reply with a written quotation that lists the product cost, any customization, packaging and other fees, and the shipping cost. The quotation also states the lead time and the payment terms.

If you prefer to pay through a platform, every model on this site is also listed in our Alibaba.com store, and you can place the sample order there. A recent sample order from Norway came in through the platform's request-for-quotation process.

What to check when the sample arrives

Check the sample as your customers will, and also as a buyer who will receive many more like it. Go through the points below and take notes while the doll is fresh out of the box.

• Packaging: the condition of the carton and inner protection, and how the shipping label looks.
• Skin: surface finish, seams, color and any marks.
• Paint: face details, eyes, lips and nails.
• Hair: how evenly it is implanted and how well it holds when combed gently.
• Skeleton and joints: range of movement, and whether the joints hold a pose.
• Smart features: heating, voice control or suction, if your model has them. Charge it as the product manual describes.
• Manual and documents: whether they cover what you need for your market and your customers.

Give clear feedback

Take photos of anything you want changed and send them with your notes. Say what you want instead, not only what is wrong. Clear photos and specific notes make the next quotation more exact and reduce rounds of questions.

Moving from sample to wholesale order

Send us the models, options and quantity for your wholesale order, and note any changes from the sample. Keep the approved sample as your reference unit. We reply with a written quotation that includes the lead time.

Ordering the same specification you approved helps the wholesale goods match what you checked. If you change the material, the options or the packaging, consider a new sample of the changed version first.

If something is wrong with the sample

If a sample arrives damaged, with parts missing or not as ordered, email us as soon as possible with your order details and photos of the item and the packaging. We agree a solution with you under your order terms. For hygiene reasons, we cannot take back dolls that have been used.
