Silicone Doll Manufacturing Process: How Our Dolls Are Made

Who makes the dolls

Aifei dolls are made by Dongguan Xiegang Aifei Silicone Products Factory, a silicone and TPE doll manufacturer founded in 2016 in Xiegang Town, Dongguan, China, with 11–50 employees and a capacity of over 5,000 units per month.

We are the manufacturer, not a trading company. The production steps below are done in-house, so you deal directly with the factory that makes your dolls.

The production steps

These are the steps we do in-house:

• Prototype sculpting: a new face or body starts as a prototype sculpted by our team.
• Mold engineering: we engineer the molds ourselves, with our own mold structures.
• Silicone injection: we inject platinum-cured silicone made to our own formulations.
• Hand-painting: the details are painted by hand.
• Hair implanting: we implant the hair in-house.
• Packing: finished dolls are packed for shipping, with discreet shipping labels.

The video does not show sculpting, hand-painting or hair implanting. You can check the result of those steps on a sample: the face details, the nails and the hair.

What each step means for your order

Each step decides something you can choose or check:

• Sculpting and molds: because we sculpt prototypes and engineer our own molds, you can start from a model in our range or send reference images for a new design. We tell you in the quotation what we can build for you.
• Material: our silicone is platinum-cured. Our second material option is high-grade, soft-touch TPE, and every model in our TPE range can be made in either material.
• Colors: you choose the hair color (black, brown, blonde or pink), the eye color (brown, blue or green) and the nail color for hands and feet (red, pink, nude, black or white).
• Skeleton: full-body dolls are built on an internal skeleton with movable joints. Our 168 cm tan-skin model, for example, is listed with a flexible skeleton and movable joints, and a recent order from the Czech Republic was for a full-silicone doll with a metal skeleton. Ask us for the skeleton details of the model you want.
• Smart features: heating, voice control and a suction function are optional. List the ones you need in your inquiry.
• Packing: we offer custom packaging design, discreet shipping labels and multilingual product manuals. Packaging is its own line in your quotation.

How to check a doll factory in China

Before you order from any factory, check that it is a registered manufacturer, and that the company name on your quotation matches the registered name. For us, you can check these points:

• Registration: Dongguan Xiegang Aifei Silicone Products Factory, business registration number 92441900MA4W1PDW1J, issued on 5 December 2016 by the Dongguan City Market Supervision Administration.
• On-site check: our premises were checked on site by Alibaba.com staff, and our legal status was confirmed by the third-party agency Chinadaas.
• Store: every model on this site is also listed in our Alibaba.com store, af66666.en.alibaba.com.
• Orders: our Factory page lists recent orders to Germany, the Czech Republic and Norway, with their status.

Check the process on a sample

A sample shows the result of every step on one unit. Our MOQ is 1 piece, so a sample is simply an order for one doll. When it arrives, look at:

• Molding: the skin surface, the seams and any marks.
• Hand-painting: the face details, lips and nails.
• Hair: how evenly it is implanted, and how well it holds when combed gently.
• Skeleton and joints: the range of movement, and whether the joints hold a pose.
• Packing: the carton, the inner protection and the shipping label.

Capacity and lead time

Our capacity is over 5,000 units per month. Lead time depends on the model, the options and the quantity, and we state it in your written quotation before you pay.

Ordering the same specification you approved on a sample helps the wholesale goods match what you checked.
